The team at the new dental rooms at Cornerstone Medical Centre feel that the theme of this year’s Dental Health Week – Oral Health For Busy Lives  – is very timely.

“It seems most of us are time-poor because we may be juggling our fast-paced job along with family commitments,” Dr Lisa said.

“In the last few years, we find more and more that our patients are commenting they don’t have time to brush let alone floss their teeth properly.

“Unfortunately, this also means that not everyone is keeping to the six-monthly check up and clean routine.”

Dr Lisa said that she wishes the community would recognise routine preventive check-up is better than attending when there is an emergency that could have been diagnosed at early stages, preventing the dreaded toothache.

“If you’re worried about how much everything is going to cost, rest assured we can tailor the treatment plan to suit your circumstances. We will soon introduce payment plan options that can make dental treatment more achievable,” she said.

The new dental rooms are part of the medical centre, which also offers a short wait time to see a GP, X-rays, chemist and easy parking.

Dental Health Week aims to help you to appreciate that, no matter how busy you are or where you are in life, it is possible to fit caring for your teeth and gums into an already-overcrowded diary because caring for your teeth and gums every bit as much as anything else in life.
