A second woman has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a beauty salon manager during an attempted breast implant procedure in inner Sydney.
Yueqiong Fu, 29, will face Burwood Local Court on Friday charged over the death of Jean Huang at the Medi Beauty Clinic in Chippendale on August 30.
Ms Huang, 35, was the manager and co-owner of the newly-opened clinic, which is part of Sydney's Central Park development.
She was undergoing a breast implant procedure at her clinic when, police allege, she was given the wrong dosage of anaesthetic.
Ms Huang was rushed to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital after she went into cardiac arrest at the clinic. She died in hospital two days later
Ms Fu was working as a nurse during the breast procedure, but allegedly had no medical qualifications. She was one of four workers present during the procedure.
Officers from the Redfern Local Area Command arrested Ms Fu at 10am on Thursday, and charged her with manslaughter, using a poison to endanger life, and hindering an investigation into a serious indictable offence.
She was refused police bail before her scheduled court appearance on Friday.
Another woman, Chinese tourist Jie Shao, 33, has already been charged with manslaughter over the death of Ms Huang at the beauty clinic.
Police allege Ms Shao used the wrong dosage of anaesthetic when she attempted to put fillers into the breasts of Jean Huang. Ms Shao was known to Ms Huang through a mutual friend.
???Ms Shao was visiting from China on a tourist visa, prosecutors told the court at her first appearance last week, and had no recognised qualifications in Australia.
Her lawyer told the court at the time that that Ms Shao had completed a five-year degree at Guangdong Medical University and had practiced in China and Britain.
Ms Huang had previously lived in Melbourne, studying at the University of Melbourne, before opening the clinic in May. She had also studied at the University of New South Wales.
