Bystanders were forced to intervene as the gang assaulted the parents on Fluschbombe Road on December 3.

It’s alleged two women stood in the road an blocked off the family as they drove along Alpha Street towards Flushcombe Road at about 8pm.

The driver, a 35-year-old Blacktown man, tried to manoeuvre the car past the women but they refused to let the vehicle pass.

When it stopped, a large group of males and females charged at the car and began kicking at hitting the outside.

The driver stepped out and was allegedly punched and kicked by the group. The female passenger, 42, was also assaulted.

Their four children remained inside the car and were not harmed.

Police said the group fled the scene when witnessed came to the family’s aid.

Blacktown detectives have appealed for information to help track down the the attackers.
