A picture reportedly taken of Carrie Underwood after a facial injury she warned fans would leave her looking "different" shows the country singer actually looks much the same.
The picture, posted to Twitter on December 13 by Adrienne Gang, shows Underwood in gym clothes after allegedly working out alongside Gang on that date.
Gang, who is a castmember on US reality show Below Deck, captioned the image, "Just worked out next to @CarrieUnderwood [no big deal]... she is so adorable and so gracious.... LOVE HER!"
In response to a tweet asking if Underwood was wearing heavy makeup in the picture that could have covered scarring from Huffington Post reporter Ron Dicker, Gang wrote, "Not that I noticed! She looked great!"
Underwood, who won the fourth season of American Idol in 2005, suffered a fall at home in November.
While she originally only reported to the public that she had a broken wrist, she revealed earlier this week she had also suffered a facial injury which required "40 to 50 stitches".
In the statement, released on her fan club website, Underwood said she was not "ready" to be photographed, but wanted fans to "understand why [she] might look a bit different" when she is.
