A 24-year-old man who led the police on a high-speed car chase and managed to elude them through south-west Sydney has been arrested after driving his car into a house.
The driver was caught breaking the 60km/h speed limit in his burnt orange Holden Commodore by police patrolling Kellerman Drive in St Helens Park about 7.15am on Thursday.
He failed to pull over, sparking a police chase that hit speeds of up to 150km/h.
When the car hurtled through a grass reserve near Crispsparkle Drive in Rosemeadow, police decided to terminate the chase because of safety concerns.
But a short time later, a Glen Alpine resident contacted the police to report that a car had crashed into a nearby house.

Upon arriving at Englorie Park Drive, police saw the Commodore had ploughed into the front porch of a two-storey brick house.
A 21-year-old man, who was a passenger, was arrested at the scene. The driver was arrested in nearby Nepean Towers Avenue.
"Both men who were uninjured were taken to Campbelltown Police Station," a police spokesman said.
"They were both then taken to Liverpool Hospital for medical treatment, where they remain under police guard."
Fire and Rescue NSW crews attended the scene to "shore up" the house and ensure the it was "stabilised and structurally sound", a spokesman said.
No one in the house was injured.
Investigations are continuing. Police say charges will be laid on the men most likely today.
