David Warner is Ben Whatley's cricket hero.
On Sunday, the nine year old from Mosman will be at the MCG with his father Grant and brother Thomas, 6, and 90,000 others to cheer Australia to World Cup victory.
"I'm so excited, 10 out of 10. I can't wait for the moment when they lift up the trophy. I'm 100 per cent sure they will win," said Ben, who is most excited to see Warner in the flesh.
The Whatley crew flew to Melbourne on Saturday and spent the night at a relative's home. The tickets to the Cricket World Cup final were Christmas presents from Grant's wife Sheree.
After 48 matches between 14 countries in 14 cities, the gift could not have shaped up better: Australia and New Zealand will battle it out in front of what is expected to be a record-breaking crowd of over 90,000 at the MCG.
The trio will be decked out in green-and-gold, waving Australian flags high in the air, confident that with the home ground advantage, Australia will thump New Zealand with relative ease.
"The team will feed off the crowd," Mr Whatley said. "Throughout the World Cup, there's been consistency in the batting and consistency in the bowling, rather than them being erratic, which makes me think Australia is going to win."
