Bobbi Kristina Brown dies at 22

Bobbi Kristina Brown has died. The daughter of late musician Whitney Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown was 22.

At the time of her death, on July 26, she was surrounded by family at a hospice in Georgia.

"She is finally at peace in the arms of God," the Houston family said in statement to ET. "We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."

ET confirmed the sad news, while TMZ is reporting that she passed away after her family made the devastating decision to take her off all meds.

Brown was found face down and unconscious in a bathtub in her home on January 31. The circumstances were eerily similar to the 2012 death of her Grammy award-winning mother.

Houston drowned in a Beverly Hills hotel bathtub in February 2012 at the age of 48.

When Bobbi Kristina was found, she was placed in a medically induced coma.

She was later diagnosed with irreversible brain damage and moved to a hospice on June 24.

A statement issued by the Houston family at the time said that despite great medical care "Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition has continued to deteriorate. As of today, she has been moved into hospice care... She is in God's hands now."

Brown was distraught after the death of her beloved mother in 2012 and has been struggling to cope ever since.

"She's still around me and that's what keeps me comfortable, is knowing that my best friend, my everything, is still with me," she said on the 2012 reality show The Houstons: On Our Own.

"That's the bond that we share and we did share. We still share that bond no matter what - even after death."

A tribute has been uploaded to Whitney Houston's official Facebook page saying:

"It is hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully. The family thanks everyone for their loving thoughts and prayers.

"As Bobbi Kristina would say: 'The wind is behind me and the sun is in my face.' "
