A man, who died while using a drill at his house in Bondi on Monday afternoon, is thought to have been electrocuted, police say.
The 84-year-old collapsed at his home on Ocean Street about 12.40pm, police said.
Paramedics were called and unsuccessfully tried to revive the man, who was not breathing.
A NSW Police spokesman said officers were initially called to reports the man had collapsed but it is now believed he suffered an electric shock.
"Police have established a crime scene which will be examined by forensic specialists," the spokesman said.
"It looks like the 84-year-old suffered an electric shock while operating a drill."
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
