London: Britain's former prime minister, celebrities and some of the globe's top business names are celebrating Australia's endorsement of same-sex marriage with homegrown pop stars and marriage equality supporters Kylie Minogue and Sia leading applause for the result.
London-based Minogue, who when she was engaged said she would not marry until the same right was afforded to gay couples in her home country, said on Twitter: "Love is love, always was love, will always be love."
Her message was promptly reposted by the popular Scottish conservatives leader Ruth Davidson who is gay.

Former British Prime Minister David Cameron whose conservative government legislated same-sex marriage in 2015 said he was delighted Australia was following the lead of one of his greatest achievements.
