It's a challenging two weeks ahead for Caroline Wozniacki as she gets set to compete in the Australian Open, but looking at her with her arms wrapped around her 6ft 9in retired basketballer fiance, David Lee, on Sunday night in Melbourne, you'd swear she didn't have a care in the world.
The 27-year-old Dane and the 34-year-old American, who got engaged in November last year, were arm-in-arm as they attended the exclusive rooftop IMG Tennis Party at Crown, alongside Stan Wawrinka???, Garbine Muguruza???, Pablo Carreno???, Eugenie Bouchard, Gael Monfils, Jelena Ostapenko and David Ferrer.
The current world No. 2, who could be in line for a return to the top world spot for the first time in six years if things go her way during the tournament, opened up to Fairfax Media about her love for Australia.
"It's great to be back I love it here, I always love coming here, it's such an exciting time," she said.
Considering the world's most discussed topics at the moment, Time's Up and Me Too - the movements against sexual harassment which started in the entertainment industry following accusations of sexual misconduct against Harvey Weinstein, Wozniacki said she was unsure if there will be a similar reckoning in tennis.
"I haven't seen anything like that in the tennis world but if it does then we definitely have to make a change about it," she said.
Right now, Wozniacki and Lee, are planning their nuptials, but are keeping shtum on the details.
"We are just keeping it to ourselves, but it is such an exciting time and we are both so happy and excited to be at this stage of our loves," she said.
Also at Crown's VIP party was Canada's Eugenie Bouchard, 23, who also spoke of her delight to be back Down Under.
"I love it here, Australia has always been so good to me and I just love being here," she said.
Bouchard commended the female tennis players that have come before her for helping make the sport a more even playing field.
"I think tennis has been improving over the years, especially now. I think women's tennis is the closest sport comparable to a men's sport in the world and we have equal prize money now with the Grand Slams, we really have to thank Billie Jean King for starting that whole trend," she said, referencing the US women's tennis pioneer portrayed by Emma Stone in award season favourite, Battle of the Sexes.
"I feel very blessed to do the job that I do and I feel grateful to her and the rest of the women that led the way in our industry."
Despite the star-studded guestlist, and a bespoke menu by Nobu, Bouchard had no plans to mingle with her competitors during the party.
"I am going to eat dinner and I am going to bed," she laughed.
American Jack Sock, 25, said it's the Australian fans that make the tournament feel so special for him.
"I feel like than fans usually get behind me here, which is always a good feeling. I am good friends with Nick [Kyrgios], so maybe that's it," Sock said.
The current world No. 8, who attended with his girlfriend, Michala Burns, had been hoping to catch up with Australian bad boy of tennis at the party, but the 22-year-old from Canberra was a no-show.
David Jones ambassador Jessica Gomes, twin models Jordan and Zac Stenmark, retired Olympic swimmer Michael Klim and his girlfriend girlfriend Desiree Deravi, comedian Tommy Little, designer Rebecca Vallance, and cricketer Ricky Ponting also attended the Crown soiree.
